Dee and Milt Fishman JHAS Names Exec Super Sunday Plans At the Aug. 16 board meeting, the Jewish Home & Aging Services officers and board of directors announced the appointment of Carol Rosenberg as executive director. She has been with the agency 25 years. Rosenberg She received the 1992 Berman Award from the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit, which recog- nizes the highest professional stan- dards in Jewish Communal Service. The American Association of Homes and Services for the Aging (AAHSA) awarded her the 2002 Dr. Herbert Shore Outstanding Mentor Award. In 2004, she was recognized by the RARE Foundation for her accomplishments as a role model in the community and mentor for young people. Jewish Home & Aging Services is a partner agency of the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. The Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit will launch its 2006 Annual Campaign with a Super Sunday phonathon Oct. 16 from 9:30 a.m. to 1:30 p.m. Volunteers will convene to make thousands of phone calls to raise funds, which benefit our Jewish community's health, educational, social and cultural services and programs. Callers will work the phones at two locations: at the Max M. Fisher Federation Building, 6735 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township, and the Jewish Community Center in Oak Park. Institute Slates Holiday Services The Sholom Aleichem Institute will hold High Holiday services at the Orchard Lake Middle School in West Bloomfield.
