its founders ever thought possi-
ble, president Finkel said. "But,
the better our efforts are, the
more clients there are. So there's
always a need for more contribu-
tions."

going to go away:' said Rabbi A.
Irving Schnipper, an early Yad
Ezra supporter and fundraiser.
"When there's a disaster, there's
an outpouring of concern. But it
shouldn't have to take a national
commandment to help the less
fortunate.
"Yad Ezra has many generous
contributors, but periodically it
doesn't hurt to send a reminder
that we have to do the right thing
— because really, I am my broth-
er's keeper!"
Quoting from the Yom Kippur
haftorah, Rabbi Schnipper said:
"Share your bread with the hun-
gry; take the homeless into your
home; clothe the naked ... Do not
turn away from people in need!" ❑
