BEVERLY BENAIM, 79, of Oak
Park, died Sept. 19, 2005. She
was the first female accountant
for the city of Detroit. A past
president of Oak Park Council
of Community Organizations,
she organized picnics, parades
and the Fourth of July celebra-
tions. She was also a past pres-
ident of Oak Park Health
Council Advisory Board. As
one of leaders in Oak Park for
over two
decades, she
helped plan
the Oak
Park 25th
anniversary
celebrations.
Mrs. Benaim
was a Dem-
ocratic
precinct del-
egate and was active in the Oak
Park School Board, PTA,
Hadassah and B'nai B'rith as
well as being a supporter of the
Tecumseh Air Corps and the
United Negro College Fund.
She is survived by a son and
daughter-in-law, Ralph and
Maria Benaim of Southfield;
grandson, Jason Benaim;
cousin, Debbie Weisserman.
She was the beloved daughter
of the late Samuel Goldfine, the
late Rachel Goldfine and the
late Kathleen Goldfine; devoted
sister of the late George Gaynor.
Interment at Oakview
Cemetery. Contributions may

Drive, Detroit, MI 48235.

Tampa, Fla., died Sept. 13, 2005.
He was a professor of econom-
ics and finance at the
University of South Florida, a
founder and board member of
the USF Hillel and a veteran of
the U.S. Air Force during the
Korean War. Mr. Brunhild also
used his resources to help oth-
ers, including the resettlement
