finalists, whose short films (14 min-
utes and under in length) will be pre-
sented to the cinema-going public in
54 venues in 32 states. Films from
Ireland, Israel, England, Wales,
Australia, Spain and the United States
make up this year's selection.
Audience members will be handed a
voting card upon entry and asked to
vote for a winning filmmaker. The
winner will be announced at a final
screening Sept. 25 in Union Square
Park in New York City.
The entire program runs about 2
1/2 hours, with a 10-minute intermis-
sion. For more information and to

The Michigan Theater is located in
downtown Ann Arbor at 603 East
Liberty. Regular film ticket prices are
