Rothschild started looking for
new work when Crockett was get-
ting ready to retire. After his own
unsuccessful run for the State
Senate, Rothschild was asked to
join Common Ground.
At the time, the agency had a
budget of $550,000. It has since
grown to $8,700,000.
Part of the increase in revenue
had to do with joining Common

directors.

$5,000 to keep the agency going.
"There are new artists and sponsors every
year, and there's always a different theme in
the children's area," says Rothschild. "Right
now, facilities are a big issue for us. We'd like
to combine a number of our services in one
facility to control our infrastructure costs and
put more money into services."
