Welcoming the new year, Federation's
Alliance for Jewish Education will
present its annual Apples & Honey
program with a new spin, inviting
families to partake in the festivities of
Shalom Street's outdoor exhibit,
"With Stone Shoes, an Ethiopian
Jewish Journey," staged on the
grounds of the Jewish Community
Center in West Bloomfield on Sunday,
Sept. 18, from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m.
With storytelling, live dance and
drumming, arts and crafts, food to
sample and activities for all ages, the
event will be a street fair with High
Holiday flair, offering something for
everyone in the family.
Apples and Honey is a program of
Federation's. Jewish Experience for
Families and is presented to the pub-
lic free of charge at Shalom Street.
Admission to the exhibit is $4 per
person or $18 per family.
