RUNNINGS BY HARRY KIRSBAU 00 .......1.1 ■■•■11■ 6;11. I'm no Steve McQueen, but I did play Bullitt for one glorious afternoon in a 2005 Ford Mustang GT Coupe. I n his day, McQueen was the King of Cool. In the movie Bullitt, he didn't have to say much: he just drove a green 1968 Ford Mustang GT in one of the most famous chase scenes ever filmed. I never drove the older version with its three-speed transmission and 355 horsepower engine. But to honor the movie and the man, and to coincide with yet another just-released special edition of Bullitt on DVD, I took a 2005 GT through its paces.
