Park Lauderdale Lakes,
Fla., died Aug. 15, 2005.
Born in Chmielnik,
Poland, she survived the
Holocaust, including
more than two years in
the forced labor camps of
Skarzysko and Czestochowa. She
moved from Germany to Detroit,
where she had numerous jobs; her
most rewarding was as a cashier at
Sam's Fruit Market in Oak Park and
West Bloomfield. She was a member
of Einstein B'nai
Mrs. Palma is survived by her
beloved husband, Szymon Palma of
Portland; children, Ruth Palma
(Robert Rogowski) of Corvallis,
Ore.), Anna Warszawski Palma
(Arnold) Hyman of Farmington
Hills; grandchildren, Lily and Adam
Rogowski of Corvallis, David (Kari)
