LAST YEAR'S Arts du Jour at
Somerset South in Troy was attended by
1,200 people who whooped it up in the
night of food, music and art in a bit of a
taste of what's on tap for the Labor Day
weekend biggie.
The "official appetizer" for Arts, Beats
& Eats also raised more than $91,000
for its selected charities ... One of last
year's restaurants, Hunter House, ran
out of hamburgers from its never-ending
long lines ... But this year's restaurants,
like Andiamo, Capital Grill, Charley's
Crab, Palm, Picano's, Cafe Mario, Fox
& Hounds, Italian Epicure, Maria's
Front Room, Plaza Deli, Melting Pot,
McCormick & Schmick, Beans &
Cornbread, Crumpets, etc., will make

world, reds and whites, will be accompa-

cold hors d'oeuvres ... A major portion
of the $30 per person will be given to
Farmington Hills-based JARC for its
excellent work, providing homes and
services for people with developmental
disabilities.
