Re: Your ex-belongings
Dear Mr. Hitsky,
As your former landlord, I wish
to inform you that the current ten-
ant moved out Sunday a.m., leav-
ing virtually nothing in your for-
mer room.
There was a 3-foot-high pile of
papers in a corner of the closet. I
went through that pile this morn-
ing and found some photos of your
trip to Europe [1997], a valentine
[1995] from your then and always traveling com-
panion,- some slides, three empty scrapbooks, a ton
of materials on benefits, insurance plans and career
growth opportunities from your former employer,
plus a DayRunner (1997 version).
Your photos, slides and valentine have been saved
(from you?). The rest is now in the recycling bin —
where you belong!
Your loving father

Dear Landlord, .
It is my pleasure to provide you with such joy —
being able to walk down memory lane when you
periodically find some of my possessions still in your
home. There is truly no reason to thank me.
I would remind you that it is very dangerous for a
landlord to throw away personal. possessions of a
tenant without giving prior written warning and
Help . Make A Joyous Noise
Ready to join the chorus of those interested in introducing and using
music in innovative ways to help congregants approach prayer in a new,
exciting way?
If so, join others who want to nurture the connection between music
and prayer at an informal evening of singing and idea-sharing from 7-9
p.m. Sunday, Aug. 28, in the lower level function room at JARC, 30301
Northwestern Highway, Farmington Hills.
Local rabbis, cantors and lay leaders will sing and teach melodies, pri-
mal* from the Shabbat evening and morning services. The group also
will discuss the challenges and satisfaction of using music to help people
participate in the service rather than simply listening and observing.
The event is not a concert nor sponsored by anyone, just an open
meeting for the community to share and learn from one another.
To RSVP or for more information, contact Nancy Kaplan at (248)

observing a 20-year grace period during which the
tenant may return, make fun of the landlord, and
remove all of his (and the landlord's) possessions.
Since I have not received such notice, my assump-
tion is that you will remedy the situation in a satis-
factory fashion. Antiques of the nature described are
quite valuable, af ter all.

Dear Mr. Hitsky,
I think the warning notice is part of what was
recycled ... along with your rent-due statement,
which you obviously also ignored.
Just think of this as a transfer of assets.— from
your room to the Waste Management Corp.
