hea and Karl Schaefer of Oak
Park celebrated their 50th
wedding anniversary on June
11. The couple commemorated their
day with a dinner at Tapawingo in
Ellsworth. They continued the cele-
bration the following week with fami-
ly at Comerica Park, where they
enjoyed a Detroit Tigers winning
game viewed from a private suite.
Joining in the fun were their sons and
daughters-in-law, Neil and Devin,
Lyle and Jan, Paul and Jodi, and Todd
and Julie. Rounding out the party
were many grandchildren and other
family members.
