T he Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit will hold its annual Itsa Mitzva Day on Sunday, Oct. 9, from 12:30 to 3 p.m. Volunteers will meet for orienta- tion and a light kosher lunch at the Max M. Fisher Federation Building, 6735 Telegraph Road in Bloomfield Township. Immediately following lunch, participants will be directed to agencies and work sites in the community. Assignments will include visiting residents in Jewish Apartments, working at a food bank, sukkah building, gardening and other assistance with community projects as needed.
