habbat will rock at Adat Shalom Synagogue Friday evening, Aug. 19,
beginning with a 6 p.m. picnic chicken dinner. At 7 p.m., there will be
a Shabbat Shaboom Service for children through age 6 and their families.
Minchah will be held in the chapel at 7:15 p.m. An outdoor Shabbat Rocks
service will begin at 7:30 p.m. (weather permitting).
Shabbat Rocks is a lively, musical Kabbalat Shabbat service with Rabbi
Daniel Nevins on drums and Marty Liebman and Dan Shere on guitar.
Reservations are required by Aug. 12 for the dinner. There is a $12
charge for adults and an $8 charge for children 4-12. Mail in reservations
to Adat Shalom Synagogue, 29901 Middlebelt Road, Farmington Hills
48334 or call (248) 851-5100.
There is no charge to attend the 7:30 p.m. service. The community is
welcome.
