announce the engagement of their
children Emily Beth Grey to Jordan
David Berman. Jordan is also the son
of the late Harvey Jay Berman.
Emily received her bachelor's degree
in special education from Michigan
State University and is working on her
master's degree at California State
University San Marcos. She is a spe-
cial education teacher in Oceanside,
Calif.
Jordan attended the University of
Maryland, majoring in marketing. He
is the founder and president of the
Internet marketing firm Reactive
Interactiire.
A November wedding is planned at
the Town Center in Southfield.

announce the marriage of their par-
ents Joan Horwood Chodak and C.
Lindsay Elmendorf. The marriage
took place in Sarasota, Fla., at the
home of Mr. Elmendorf's mother, Dr.
Mary Elmendorf.
The bride is a graduate of the
University of Michigan and is a
Realtor with Real Estate One
Charlevoix. The groom is a graduate
of Amherst and is a retired deputy
director of the Department of State's
Office of Regional Urban
Development for South Asia.
The couple make their home in
Charlevoix and Hidden River,
Sarasota.

Chizever were married Sept.
5, 2004, during Hurricane Francis at
the Ritz-Carlton, Sarasota, after evac-
uating with their guests from their
original location in Hollywood, Fla.
Rabbi Joel Mishkin officiated with
Cantors Zev Sonnenstein and Dianne
Nathanson.
The bride is the daughter of Joel
and Ellie Schaumberg. The groom is
the son of Carole and Ben Feuer, Jerry
and Caroline Chizever.
The maid of honor was Melissa
Schaumberg, and the bridesmaids
were Jill Chizever, Layne Weiss,
Jordan and Ariel Brettholz, and
Rebecca Horn. The best man was
Michael Agulnek and the groomsmen
were Peter, Andrew and Geoffrey
Chizever, Jason Levine, and Stuart
Lander.
The bride's grandparents Rosa and
Julius Schaumberg and great-aunt
Mala Dorfman were in attendance. A
honeymoon was rescheduled in defer-
ence to surveying hurricane damage at
their new home in Heathrow, Fla.

A wedding celebration was held for
guests on March 12, 2005, at Temple
Israel in Longwood, Fla. A Havdalah
service was held where maid of honor
Melissa Schaumberg and bridesmaids
Beth Stallkamp, Daniela Biederman,
Rachel Charlupski, Rebecca and
Samantha Gallack, Elisa Waysenson,
and Lydia Monk participated.
The couple will enjoy a late honey-
moon in England and the Cote
D'Azure this summer.

indsay Gayle Levenson and
David Alan Silverstein were
married recently at Fairmont
Temple in Cleveland, Ohio. Rabbi
Joshua Caruso officiated. David is the
son of Ralph and Miriam Silverstein
of Farmington Hills. Lindsay is the
daughter of Riki Levenson of South
Euclid, Ohio, and Charles Levenson
of Cleveland, Ohio.
Mindy Kilgore served as maid of
honor and Melissa Nelson served as
matron of honor. Bridesmaids were
Sharon Drozen, Jonell Levenson,
Tammy Oleksiw, Rhonda Silverstein
and Judy Williams.
Tzachi Rosenberg served as best
man. Groomsmen included Brian
Burke, Elon Friedman, Jeff Glogower,
Lonny Levenson and Dave Levich.
Illianna Levenson, the bride's niece
was the flower girl.
Lindsay is the director of special
events for the March of Dimes and
David is an athletic trainer for
Beachwood Orthopedic & Physical
Medicine.
Following a honeymoon in the
Eastern Caribbean and New York
City, the couple reside in Mayfield
Heights, Ohio.

Aug. 3 on the occasion of her
90th birthday. Her husband
of 68 years, Clarence, family and
friends were by her side. The celebra-
tion was given by her daughter and
son-in-law, Elyse and Jerry Schostak,
and granddaughters Lindsey and
Stefanie.
