Bloomfield, died
July 9, 2005. She
graduated from
Northern high
school at age 16
and went to Wayne
State University for
two years, majoring
in music; she was a
violinist. Later, at
Magy
age 50, she went
back to WSU to
complete her teaching degree and
became a teacher at Hampton and
Robinson elementary schools in
Detroit. She taught for 19 years before
retiring. As a volunteer, Mrs. Magy
read to children in the Ferndale public
schools and worked at Wad Ezra in
Berkley and at the Holocaust
Memorial Center in Farmington Hills.
She also attended the Florence Melton
Adult Mini-School.
She is survived by her children, Lin
and Ronald Klein of West Bloomfield,
Arnold Magy of Galion, Ohio, Marla
and Monte Schloss of West
Bloomfield, Paul and Leslie Magy of
Birmingham; brother and sister-in-law,
Meyer and Charlotte Arbit of West
Bloomfield; sister, Shirley White of
Oak Park; grandchildren, Jodi and
Howard Rankin, Jason and Lisa Klein,
Adam Magy, Lindsay Malty, Courtney
Magy, Miriam Schloss, Matthew
Schloss, Harrison Magy, Ilyse Magy,

Farmington Hills, died July 3, 2005.

CEO and founder of Standard
