Champ Is Crowned Strausz wins national senior champioinship. LEONARD POGER L Copy Editor Loyd Strausz is no stranger to winning table tennis tides. Playing the game for 75 of his 87 years, the West Bloomfield resident recently won the gold medal at the National Senior Olympic Games, held at the University of Pittsburgh. Strausz won the championship following nine round-robin matches. Some 300 men and women 50 years and older competed. He advanced to the national tournament by win- ning the Michigan title, his third. Strausz said the sport is good exercise for all ages. He lives independently, but plays table tennis several - times a week at the home of his daughter, Jo Rosen. June 17 Julie (Grant) and A.J.
