They have played in recitals in all major cities in the United States; with symphony orchestras in Chicago, Los Angeles, Baltimore, Cincinnati and Pittsburgh; in music capitals of France, Germany, Holland, Spain and Switzerland; and at leading summer music festivals. Even though they are now in the fourth decade of their distinguished international career, the newly released Mozart.• The Complete Piano Works for Four Hands, is the first recording they have made together. There are quite a number of reasons to welcome this splendid three-CD set of Mozart's piano works for two pianists. It isn't often we get all of them in one package. Also, the performances are splendid. No surprise here. The Dichters first began playing this music when they were students of Rosina Lhevinne at ji illiard in the 1960s. In 1972, four years after their marriage, they made their first joint appearance at the Hollywood Bowl in a performance of Mozart's E-Flat double concerto. Misha Dichter said: "Many of the works contained [in this CD] are Mozart's finest creations, and it has been a joy and privilege to carry on the great tradition of performing and recording this repertoire."
