He led the Tzedakah Jewish Foundation from 1995-2001. "As a strong leader, Werthein committed the most important Jewish families to the foundation's activities," said Jorge Schulman, Tzedakah's executive direc- tor. Mr. Werthein also served as presi- dent of the Argentine Rural Association.
