He is survived by his brothers, Issac Greener, Ben Gruner; wife, Sally Glaser; daughters, Susanne Glaser, Edith Glaser Linden; son and daugh- ter-in-law, Sigmund and Cheryl Glaser of Oak Park; grandchildren; great-grandchildren. He was the hus- band of the late Helen Heika Siegel Glaser. NATHAN GOTTLIEB, 75, of West Bloomfield, died June 17, 2005. An automation machine designer and engineer, he owned Empress and Associates,- a hydraulic slide manufac- turing company. In high school, he held the school record for most absences and then he skipped a grade because of his high academic record. In college, he held the record for most years as a sopho- more. A Korean conflict Air Force veteran, Mr. Gottlieb worked for Chrysler in the 1950s and helped invent the turbine engine. He had his first patent in 1948 for the plastic headed diaper pins. He had many other patents for automotive work and for TRW, including the plastic case that folded for drills, which was known as the Gottlieb concept machine. Mr. Gottlieb was also a junior achievement adviser, a member of the Louis Marshall Lodge of B'nai B'rith and was a part of its bowling league. He was also a math tutor and a mem- ber of Society of Automotive Engineers. Mr. Gottlieb is survived by his wife, Carole Gottlieb; daughters and son-in-law, Glynette and Barry Wolk of Farmington Hills, Cynthia Gottlieb of West Bloomfield, Lauren Ford of Bloomfield Hills; grandson, Charles Lahue Ford V; sister and brother-in-law, Helen and Ronald Watt of California, brothers and sis- ters-in-law, Jerome and Louise Gottlieb of Bellvue, Wash., and Ted and Judy Gottlieb of Farmington Hills.
