That comes about because of new food offerings and one new activity. The 13th annual Art in the Woods Fine Art & Fine Craft Fair — besides featuring the work of 80 fine artists, the talents of many local performing artists and the usual hot dogs and ice cream — will serve up fajitas, fruit smoothies and a massage station. The new fare at the fair, scheduled June 25-26 on the grounds of the Huntington Woods Lutheran Church, is the idea of Kathy Jacobi, in her second year as coordinator of the event. "When I started working on the fair in 2004, I changed the layout and the staging," explains Jacobi, who had the idea for and organized the Ferndale Street Fine Art Fair and Oak Park's Art Lunch Hours Mon - Sat: 11:00 AM - 3:00 PM Sunday: 12:00 Noon - 3:00 PM 7 Days a Week Except Thanksgiving Day (248) 474-8183 27626 Nlicicliebelt Farmington Hills Huntington Woods Library and Woods Gallery present: Over the Interstate. "I've had many posi- tive comments from people who liked the tables and chairs in front of the stage so they could eat while enjoying the entertainment. "This year, I thought it would be fun to give our guests new food options and provide some relaxation for those carry- ing around packages or just feeling tired from their day-to-day responsibilities. Touch Therapy Associates in Berkley, one of the event sponsors, will be doing the neck and back massages." At the heart of the fair, a variety of artists will be featured after being invited by a five-person jury, working anony- mously and representing different aspects of the arts community. Those selected will showcase paintings, photog- raphy, clay, jewelry and other media. Among those debuting with the event will be Mary Fairman, who specializes in painted furniture, and Tom Phelps, who molds faces into his pottery designs. "The selection of artists is based on creativity, quality and balance," explains A Juried Fine Art Fair Sat. June 25: 10-5 • Sun.
