wife of the late Seymour Gilmore.
Interment at Beth El Memorial

JEAN GROSSMAN, 94, of
Kalamazoo, died May 30, 2005. She
was born in Montreal, Quebec,
Canada, the daughter of the late Max
and Rose (Kossey) Rocklin. She was a
longtime member of the
Congregation of Moses.
On March 12, 1933, she married
Meyer Lebowitz in Detroit, who died
in 1957. Later, she married Leon
Grossman, who died in 1994.
Mrs. Grossman is survived by her
children, Fred Lebowitz of Novi,
Leonard (Barbara) Lebowitz of Paw
Paw; grandchildren, Michelle
(Stephen) Schlussel of West
Bloomfield, Steven Lebowitz of New
York City; great-grandchildren, Adam,
Noah and Amanda Schlussel; sister,
Rita (Seymour) Knapp of Boca. Rotan,
Fla. She was the sister of the late
Joseph Rocklin, the late Ann Rocklin,
the late Shirley Seel, the late Lillian
Hyman; mother-in-law of the late
Ainsley Lebowitz.
Services were at Langeland Family
Funeral Homes, Memorial Chapel in
Kalamazoo. Interment at Jewish
Riverside Cemetery. Contributions
may be made to Congregation of
Moses (Kalamazoo) - Rabbi's
Discretionary Fund.

BERNARD L. HOFFMAN, 86, of
West Bloomfield, died June 9, 2005.
He was the owner of D & H Homes
Supply, a home modernization com-
pany. Mr. Hoffman was a World War
II veteran and the past state com-
mander and past president of Jewish
War Veterans, a past commander of
Allied Veterans Council, a member of
Veterans of Foreign Wars and a mem-
ber and toast master of Polish Legion

American Veterans.
Throughout his career, Mr.
Hoffman was recognized for his
extensive work for and dedication to
veterans' organization. Among his
numerous awards are: Golden Award
as Veteran of the Year from the Allied
Veterans Council, Inc. ; citation of
merit from the Muscular Dystrophy
Associations of America Inc.; certifi-
cate of achievement from the
Consolidated War Veterans Councils
of Michigan Inc. ; certificate of com-
mendation from the Jewish War
Veterans Memorial Home
Association.
He is survived by his wife, Edith
Hoffman of West Bloomfield; chil-
dren, Rochelle and Allen Steinberg of
West Bloomfield, Douglas Hoffman
and Wendy Fischel of West
Bloomfield, Dr. Lee and Rona
Hoffman of West
Bloomfield, Debra
and Sheldon
Baskin of Novi;
grandchildren, Jodi
and Tim
Gonterman,
Joshua, Matthew
and Seth Hoffman,
Melissa Hoffman,
Hoffman
Jason Clinton and
fiancee, Jeanne Castiglione, Bryan
Clinton, Danielle Malane and fiance,

Jeffrey Baskin; five great-grandchil-

sister-in-law, Sybil Hoffman. Mr.
Hoffman was the beloved grandfather
of the late Lisa Steinberg Kindred; the
devoted brother of the late Sol
Hoffman; the cherished brother-in-
law of the late Bernard Daniels.
Interment at Beth El Memorial Park

LUBA KLATCHKO, 81, of Tel Aviv,
Israel, died June 8, 2005.
A Holocaust survivor,
Mrs. Klatchko is sur-
vived by son and
daughter-in-law, Julian
and Irit Klatchko of
Farmington Hills;
daughter and son-in-
law, Cilla and Gary
Riemer of Farmington Hills; grand-
children, Alon, Tal, Jonathan, Amit
and Adam; sister; Hannah Vegushin.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Katriel Klatchko.
