of West Bloomfield will be called to
the Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday,
June 11, at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek West Bloomfield, B'nai Israel
Center. Celebrating
with Sid will be his
proud mother, Gail
Kaye, and his
grandmother Rose
Kaye. He is also the
grandson of the late
Sidney Kaye. Also
participating in the
ceremony will be
family and friends
from across the U.S. and Canada.
Sid is a seventh-grade student at
Orchard Lake Middle School in West
Bloomfield. As part of his mitzvah
experience, he chose to volunteer at
Yad Ezra in Berkley.

Danielle Ashley Kramer will be called
to the Torah as a bat mitzvah Saturday,
June 11, at Temple Emanu-El. She is
the daughter of
Bruce Kramer and
Rita David Kramer.
Sharing in the joy
of this special occa-
sion will be her

Davis. She is also
the granddaughter
of the late Alex Davis.
Danielle is a seventh-grade honor
student at Norup Middle School in
Oak Park. Her mitzvah projects

Spencer Phillip Paterni will lead the
Temple Shir Shalom congregation as
he celebrates his bar mitzvah on
Saturday, June 11.
He is the son of
Patrick and Flo
Paterni and the
brother of Lydia.
Spencer is the
grandson of Sherry
Robbins of
Boynton Beach,
Fla., the late Sam
Robbins, the late
Virginia and James Paterni.
Spencer is a seventh-grader at
Abbott Middle School in West
Bloomfield. This school year, he
shared his talents of music, cooking,
and tennis with others assisting the
USTA with teaching tennis to tots,
cooking and serving breakfast for
COTS, playing trumpet at the V.A.
Hospital in Ann Arbor, participating
in Relay for Life, assisting with math
and music classes in Detroit and work-
ing at Blight Busters with his temple's
madrachim class.
