Here's To...

Kimberly L. Spaulding of Farmington
Hills received the Howard A. Donnelly
Award at the Wayne State University
commencement in Detroit. The award
recognizes outstanding contributions to
the university with regard to student
activities, leadership and service along
with superior academic achievement.
Spaulding received a bachelor of sci-
ence degree with a major in elementary
education. She was captain of the
women's hockey team for the last two
seasons, was twice named to the
College Hockey America Women's All-
Academic Team and has been named
to the WSU Athletic Director's honor
roll for academic achievement six
times. She serves as president of the
university's Student Athletic Advisory
Committee.

at its recent commencement in New
York. They are Julie Schwartz of West
Bloomfield — master of arts from the
Davidson School; Gregory Shill of
Ann Arbor — master of arts from the
Graduate School; Benjamin Gene of
West Bloomfield — bachelor of arts
from List College; Frederick
Grossman of Flint— rabbinic ordina-
tion and master of divinity from the
Rabbinical School.

Ed Kohl of West Bloomfield was
elected to the national board of
Volunteers for Israel-USA and has
been appointed the regional officer

for the states of Michigan, Ohio,
Indiana and Wisconsin. The organi-
zation is associated with Sar-El, which
administers the volunteer service pro-
oram in Israel. Kohl is available to
