years. My father was not born Jewish, but my
mother was. We were raised Jewish. My
mother's parents are buried at Clover Hill.
We have been told my father cannot be buried
there without conversion. Is there another
alternative where my parents can be together
at a Jewish cemetery?

Milton Wolf, a
New York/JTA
Jewish leader and U.S. ambassador,
died May 19 of lymphoma in his
Cleveland home. He was 80.
A real estate developer, Wolf was
ambassador to Austria 1977 1980,
chairman of the Jewish Community
Federation of Cleveland 1985-1988
and president of the American
Jewish Joint Distribution Committee
1992-1995.

BELLE WEISSMAN, 94, of
Birmingham, died May 18, 2005.
An administrative assistant for the
Detroit Board of Education for 16
years, she helped direct the Spanish
programming for Channel 56. She
was also a life member of Hadassah,
ORT and B'nai B'rith.
Mrs. Weissman is survived by a
son and daughter-in-law, Dr. Martin
and Linda Weissman of
Birmingham; daughter, Jo Ann
Weissman-Posen of Birmingham;
grandchildren, Dr. David and Holly
Weissman, Meredith and David
Kaplan, Paige Weissman and her
fiance, Brian Legum, Dr. Alan and
Nicole Weissman, Laura and Irwin
Tauber; great-grandchildren, Katie,
Jack, Nicholas, Josh, Blake and Max.
She was the beloved wife of the late
Philip Weissman; devoted mother of
the late Dr. Howard Weissman
Interment at Beth Ed Memorial
Park Cemetery. Contributions may
be made to Beaumont Hospice,
