Carnival For Cans
Hillel of Metro Detroit (HMD) is hold-
ing a "Carnival for Cans" at and benefit-
ing Yad Ezra, the kosher food bank in
Berkley.
The event will be 5-8 p.m. Sunday,
June 5, with admission $8 for adults
and $6 for children who bring a canned
or dried food donation, or $2 more per
person without a donation.
The carnival will include a moon
walk, dunk tank, duck pond, ring toss,
games designed to educate the commu-
nity about Yad Ezra, kosher hot dogs,
hamburgers, popcorn, cookies, soft
drinks and a raffle.
HMD students are soliciting dona-
tions for raffle prizes and kosher food
donations. Event chair Leah Mondroe
came up with the idea last year.
