The paths come together in the center of the garden, where a pavil- ion has been created from hand- forged, hand-wrought iron, with evergreen, bittersweet and morn- ing glory growing upon it. Beneath is a stone bench, the better to sit and contemplate the garden. A verdigris metal butterfly bench, made-from battleship-grade metal, is tucked beneath a tree, and a matching birdbath and mini-bath (for small animals) stand nearby. Animal statuary is scattered throughout. A monkey topiary swings in a cranberry tree. Next, Ruth is looking to add a water fea- ture and an abstract sculpture. "A garden is like anything else in life: It evolves," Ruth says. "There is something beautiful here at all times of the day, all of the seasons," says Ruth. "I enjoy it 24 hours a day, 12 months of the year. It gives me great pleasure. I'm a homebody and, with this gar- den, it's worth staying home." 0 02003 To order, please call or visit: 248-879-9300 Troy Corners Shopping Center 52 W.
