The Cantors Assembly congratulates Cantor
Chaim Najman, a world renowned Hazzan and
distinguished Past President of our
DE Sherrell Najman
organization, and his wife, Dr. Sherrell, chosen
as this year's honorees by Israel Bonds. Over
the past 25 years, Hazzan and Dr. Najman have contributed
immeasurably to the Jewish community of Detroit in a variety of ways.
Cantor Najman has made his mark at Congregation Shaarey Zedek as
its outstanding Sh'liach Tzibbur; as a concert artist and as a creative
innovator in musical programming. Dr. Sherry Najman has gained
recognition as a renowned educator at Detroit Public Schools,
Marygrove College and Wayne State University, and as a volunteer for
so many worthwhile causes.
Their endless devotion to synagogue life and their unlimited love for the
land of Israel are both inspiring and praiseworthy.
We wish the Najmans, continued success and good health in the years
to come.

Cantor Chaim Najman
