Middle School. As part of her mitzvah
experience, she chose to volunteer at
Temple Israel's Labor Day picnic in
addition to both volunteering at and
donating to JARC.
Joshua Saltzman Loney, son of Sarah
Saltzman and Scott Loney and brother
of Joanna, will read from the Torah on
the occasion of his bar mitzvah during
Havdalah services Saturday, May 7, at
Temple Israel. His
grandparents are
Florence Saltzman
and Alberta Loney.
He is also the
grandchild of the
late Arthur
Saltzman and the
late Ralph Loney.
An honor student
at West Hills Middle School in
Bloomfield Hills, Josh groomed, fed
and socialized animals at the Michigan
Animal Rescue League, helped at
Temple Israel's library and assisted at
Temple Israel's book fair as part of his
mitzvah projects.
Samuel Jay Peters will be called to the
bimah as he celebrates his bar mitzvah
Saturday, .May 7, at Temple Israel. His
parents are Julie and Mark Peters and
his sister is Hannah. His grandparents
are Arlene and Jerry
Baronick and
Norma and
Richard Peters.
An honor student
at Power Middle

Farmington, Sam
volunteered at
Temple Israel's
library and at the Holocaust Memorial
Center as part of his mitzvah projects.
Brandon James Steuer, son of Brenda
and David Steuer, will celebrate his
bar mitzvah as he reads from the
Torah Saturday, May 7, at Temple
Israel. He is the brother of Adam and
Jamie. His grandparents are Marge
and Herbert Rechter and Helaine and
Arthur Steuer.
Brandon attends
West Hills Middle
School in
Bloomfield Hills.
He assisted at
Gleaners Food
Bank in Detroit
and helped at
Temple Israel dur-
ing the sheltering
of the homeless as part of his mitzvah
projects.
