thank you very much for spreading
the word about "America Eats For
Israel" to your readers through the
article "Eating for Israel," (March 17,
page 57).
We are very proud of our students'
efforts in raising funds for the families
of Israeli terrouictims. However, they
cannot do it alone.
With publications such as yours, we
are able to reach more people and
potentially raised more money for
charity.

Recalling A Great Friend

Your insurance plan may provide full or partial payment for hearing aids.
Call today to inquire about coverage.

It was fitting that you put a major
story of Father John West on the first
page of the Obituaries section
("Interfaith Friend," April 21, page
104). Father West was Cardinal
Maida's choice to be the Catholic
Church representative on the execu-
tive committee of the Ecumenical
Institute for Christian-Jewish Studies
in Southfield.
At our meetings, he brought under-
standing and sensitivity to the con-
cerns of the Jewish community.
We have lost a great friend. May he
rest in peace.
