ATTENTION

Federation's Alliance for Jewish
Education recruited 150 volunteer
teens for JServe 2005, a National Day
of Service for Teens. Volunteers
included teens, parents, youth advisers
and professional staff from 14 congre-
gations, four youth organizations and
two Jewish day schools.
These teens joined 5,000 Jewish
teens nationwide, 100,000 teens in all,
for this first of what is hoped to be an
annual fix-up, clean-up, social action
experience.
Federation's Alliance is one of 10

programs awarded a grant for activi-
ties held in conjunction with Youth
Service America's National Youth
Service Day.
Volunteer activities included clean-
ing the dining area at Teitel
Apartments, clearing the Teitel and
Oak Park JCC grounds, preparing
Passover packages for seniors in need,
writing Passover good wishes cards for
Meals on Wheels and a concert given
by the Kids Klez Band of Michigan
for residents at Fleischman Residence
and their families.
