our spirit of love, generosity, humor and intellect are
remembered with deep affection and nostalgia by your many
loving friends and family. It has been ten years since you left and
yet everyday we find ourselves still saying "what would Herschel say
about that?" We miss your insights and commentaries, we miss your
pride in all we do. We wish you could have met your 3-year-old
granddaughter, your namesake, Haley Mozen, who keeps asking,
"but where is Papa?" And we try to explain that even though we
feel your presence, we just can't see or touch you anymore. At a
recent funeral of one of our relatives in Toledo, I saw cousin Red
Schmoozie, whom I hadn't seen since you passed. He grabbed me
by the shoulders and shook me rather abruptly looking at me with
very serious eyes and he said to me, "you will never know how
much your father meant to this family." He repeated himself twice
but didn't have to; we all know how much you meant to this family.
We will always share with you our lives and our dreams.
