After serving in the United States
Air Corps during World War II, Mr.
Strauss entered the
field of industrial
sales, eventually

Company in 1958,
distributor of dry
cleaning and laun-
dry machinery. He
owned and was
president of
Machinex
Equipment for almost 40y years before
retiring.
He is survived by his beloved wife of
56 years, Muriel Strauss of Studio
City, Calif.; son and daughter-in-law
Robert and Elizabeth Strauss of
Burbank, Calif.; grandchildren
Matthew, Zachary, Aimee Strauss of
Burbank, Calif.
Contributions may be made to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements

vived by his wife,
Ida Steuer; daugh-
ter and son-in-law,
Sydonia and Jim
Gajda of
Farmington Hills;
grandchildren,
Stetter
Jeffrey and Emily
Gajda and Annette
Gajda; sister-in-law, Maria Steuer. He
was the loving brother of the late
Ellias Steuer, the late Martha Tvras
and the late Ella, Zigfrid, Karl and
Max, who perished in the Holocaust.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
Cemetery Contributions may be
directed to Hospice of Michigan,
Holocaust Memorial Center or to a
charity of one's choice. Arrangements
