ever to serve the basic human needs
of food, shelter, clothing and med-
ical care.
"We need to come together as a
community and take care of each
other."
Commenting on the contribution of
Federation's Women's Department,
which constitutes about 18 percent of
the Annual Campaign total, Susie
Pappas stated, 'As Jews, we recognize
our responsibility to help other Jews
who are less fortunate.
"This is the right time for us to
come together. Every dollar we secure
now will make a difference in the allo-
cation process that takes place in
May."
Federation's Campaign Countdown
and Closing Week begins Sunday, 10
a.m. to 1 p.m., and continues through
April 15 at the Max M. Fisher
Federation Building in Bloomfield
Township.
Fifth Third Bank is a corporate part-
ner for Campaign Countdown and all
new gifts or increases in pledges to the
Annual Campaign will be matched
through the Jean and Samuel Frankel
Challenge Fund.
During April 10-15, 50 percent of
every new gift closed by an agency or
congregation will be returned to the
organization.
