MARILYN PICKOVER, 72, of
Farmington Hills, died April 1,
2005. She was born in Chicago and
graduated from Roosevelt College
with a bachelor of arts degree in lib-
eral arts. Married in 1956, she
moved to New York, where she
taught nursery school, began a fami-
ly and a long career in charitable
work.
She moved her family to Michigan
in 1973 and spent the next 20 years
dedicating herself to her family and
to Greater Detroit Chapter of
Hadassah. As a life member of the
Bloomfield Hills Group, she spear-
headed and organized many fund-
raising drives. She also held several
key positions in the chapter, includ-
ing president and vice president. She
was also selected as Woman of the
