Beth Shalom Seder Set

Beth Shalom's congregational second
seder will be Sunday, April 24, begining
with services at 6 p.m.
The seder, at 7 p.m. will be conduct-
ed in Hebrew and English by Rabbi
David Nelson, Cantor Sam Greenbaum
and Rev. Sammy Semp.

Congregation Shomrey Emunah in
Southfield will be hosting Top That as a
synagogue fund-raiser 1-7 p.m. Sunday,
April 10.
Top That, led by Karen Chai
Lowenberg, offers one of the largest hat
selections in the Midwest including
designs by Kangol, Eric Javits, Kokin,
Louise Green and more than 20 others.
Men's Kangol caps will be on sale.
Top That also sells women's robes and
hosiery as well as headbands, scrunchies,
bows and snoods. This month, it is
offering winter robes and hats, mix or

Rubenstein, cur-
rently associate
rabbi at Congrega-
tion Beth Shalom in
Kansas City, Mo.
Rabbi Ruben-
stein and his wife,
Robin, have a son
Ari, 4, and daughter
Rubenstein
Tali, 11 months.
He will begin at
Beth Ahm in August.

Interfaith Programs Slated

The Ecumenical Institute will present
two interfaith programs in April.
On Sunday, April 10, at 3 p.m. at the
St. John Lutheran Church, 23225 Gill
Road in Farmington Hills, there will be
the annual Holocaust remembrance
service. It will include music and read-
ings on the Holocaust, and there will be
lighting of candles by Holocaust sur-
vivors and hidden children.
On Sunday, April 17, at 2 p.m. at the
Holocaust Memorial Center in
Farmington Hills, there will be an inter-
faith tour. Following the tour, Goldie
Kalib, a hidden child, will speak.
Both programs are open to the public
at no charge. To register for the tour,
