The American Jewish Committee
Metropolitan Detroit Chapter has select-
ed Jennifer and Paul Silverman as recipi-
ents of its 2005 Young Leadership
Award. The award will be presented
6:30 p.m., Thursday, April 14, at the
Detroit home of Judges Helene White
and Charles Levin. Shirley Stancato,
president and chief executive officer of
New Detroit, is the keynote speaker.
Jennifer Silverman is the recipient of
the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit's 2004 Sylvia Greenberg Award
for Young Leadership. She is a board
member of the Federation's Women's
Campaign and Education Department,
trustee of the Jewish Women's
Foundation of Metropolitan Detroit and
an officer of Jewish Family Service.
Both Jennifer and Paul served as bus
captains for Federation's Miracle Mission
III and are members of the Federation's
Board of Governors.
Paul Silverman is a real estate develop-
er and was a Mark Family Award recipi-
ent and served as president of the Young
Adult Division of the Federation. He is
a trustee of the Barbara Ann Karmanos
Cancer Institute, executive officer of
JVS and member of Federation's endow-
ment, real estate campaign and Jewish
Entrepreneurs Network committees.
The evening's tribute co-chairs are
Susan and Robert Gordon, Stacy and
Ron Klein, Amy and Jeff Schlussel and
Andrea and Roger Shen. Dinner tickets
