These days, Shulman's piano is the focus of the alcoved section off the side of the room once used for the parties. She has been a cantorial soloist for 28 years, most recently at Congregation Beth El in Windsor. She is a Hebrew tutor at Temple Israel and has been the featured soloist for the Birmingham Bloomfield Symphony. After singing for residents at Danto Health Care Center in West Bloomfield for a year, mainly in the Alzheimer's unit, Shulman wants to sing for hospice patients. "I'd like to share my voice with those who need it," she said.
