Klinger Funeral Director GIZELLA ADLER OKRENT, 92, formerly of Detroit of Evanston Ill., died March 14, 2005. Born in Hungary, she arrived in the United States in • 1930 not speaking a word of English; four years later she was a grad- uate of Wayne University, certified to teach in Detroit public schools. For three decades, she taught music and other subjects in the Detroit sys- tem and after her retirement she began • a second career as a social worker at the Jewish Home for Aged. Following the 1990 death of her husband, she lived in Cincinnati and then Evanston. Mrs. Okrent is survived by her chil- dren, Judith and Arthur B.
