the American Jewish Committee. In
this capacity, among other responsibili-
ties, Mr. Greene monitored and report-
ed on the weekly speeches that George
Lincoln Rockwell, head of the
American Nazi Party, was then giving
on the National Mall in Washington.
Mr. Greene also served as chairman
of the Washington, D.C., chapter of
the National Association of Intergroup
Relations Officials (NAIRO). He was
part of a NAIRO delegation, which
included Sen. Philip Hart, D-Mich.,
that met with President John F.
Kennedy on August 23, 1961, to brief
the president on its recommendations
for administrative actions on race rela-
tions. During this time, Mr. Greene
also traveled to restaurants on
Maryland's Eastern Shore in mixed-
race groups in successful efforts to
"integrate" restaurants that were then
still illegally refusing to serve minori-
ties. In 1962, Mr. Greene joined the
federal government, first working in
the Urban Renewal Administration of
the Department of Housing and
Urban Development. In 1967, he
transferred to the Employment and
Training Administration of the United
States Department of Labor, where he
worked on worker empowerment,
worker training, and migrant worker
issues before retiring in 1984. He
remained active in political campaigns
at all levels until his death.
Mr. Greene is survived by a brother,
Nathan; his sons, Neal, Steven (David
Cruz), and Jeffrey (Leora Greene);
grandsons, Aaron, Michael and Adam.
Interment in Judean Gardens
Memorial Park in Olney, Md.

ETYA LEMBERSKAYA, 83, of Oak

Park, died March 13, 2005.
She is survived by her son and

of the late Natan Lembersky.

ANN MADORSKY, 89, former

Detroiter of Miami, Fla., died March
13, 2005. She and her husband had
been in the hospitality industry, devel-
oping, owning and managing 3,000
hotel rooms in 17 resort properties on
the ocean front in Daytona Beach, Fla.
In Daytona, she was the first female
director of the Florida National Bank
and served many years on the Daytona
Beach Ad Tax Committee. She was
also an active participant on the board
of the Volusia County Jewish
Federation and served many years as
treasurer of Temple Israel.
Mrs. Madorsky is survived by her
children, Elaine Silverstein (Charles
Goldstein), Sandra Goldberg, Martin
Madorsky (Judy Richards), Marsha
Madorsky; grandchildren, Steven
Silverstein (Cathy Raduns), Matthew

MITCHELL MANDEBERG, 86, of

Farmington Hills, died March 15,
2005. He was a major in the Army
during World War II. A manufacturers
representative in the furniture business,
he was also a member of the Furniture
Club and the Furniture Travelers
Association. Mr. mandeberg was a
member of Temple Beth El, the Beth
El Players and Temple Beth El Men's
Club.
He is survived by
his wife of 57 years,

of Farmington
Hills; son and
daughter-in-law,
Richard Mandeberg
and Harriet-Katz of
Los Altos, Calif.;
