Matt Steven Aronow was called to the
Torah as a bar mitzvah Saturday, Dec.
18, in Malibu Calif. Cantor Ron Li Paz

officiated the HaveZalah service.
Celebrating with Matt were his proud
parents, Elizabeth (Stoller) and Sam
Aronow; his sisters Taylor and Tori
Aronow and his
grandma Sylvia
Stoller of
Southfield. Matt is
also the grandson of
the late Esther
Aronow and the late
Robert Stoller.
Matt is an eighth-
grade honor student
at Lindero Canyon
Middle School in Agoura Hills, Calif.
His mitzvah project included collecting
much needed personal items that were
given to children recently placed in fos-
ter care. He also helped pack backpacks
on Mitzvah Day with Congregation Or
Ami in Calabasas.

Noah Solomon Bakst of Huntington
Woods was called to the Torah as a bar
mitzvah Saturday, March 12, at Temple
Emanu-El. He is
the son of Wendy
and Marc Bakst and
brother of Danny
and Chloe. Sharing
in this special occa-
sion were grandpar-
ents Janet and
Leonard Bakst,
Carolynne Littman
and Rena and
Marvin Littman.
Noah is an honor student in the sev-
enth grade at Norup Middle School in
Oak Park. For his mitzvah project, he
chose to spend three weeks assisting the
Temple Emanu-El day camp staff with
the preschool campers. He also super-
vised games at both the 2004 Purim
carnival and the fall new members pic-
nic at the temple.

Justin Bradley Brode, son of Lisa and
