She was also a 15-year volunteer for the Salvation Army. Mrs. Rovner is survived by her sons and daughters-in-law, Marvin Rovner of Las Vegas, Nathan and.Gail Rovner of Oregon, Art and Inge Rovner of Auburn Hills; grandchildren, Michael and Bridgett, Carl, Joanne, Roseanna and great-granddaughter, Carlina. Arrangements by Ira Kaufman Chapel. DR. JULIUS RUTZKY, 84, of Beverly Hills, died Feb. 16, 2005. He was a medical director at William Beaumont Hospital. Dr. Rutzky started in pediatrics, then became a clinical pathologist and then a hematologist at Children's Hospital where he started the discipline of pedi- atric hematology. He was also the former head of lab- oratories at St. Joseph's Hospital and then moved to Beaumont as head of laboratories (clincial pathology). He later became medical director. Dr. Rutzky is survived by his daugh- ters and son-in-law, Sally Rutzky of Ann Arbor, Ivy Rutzky of New York, Jane and Dennis Bowman; son and daughter-in-law, Jacques and Dyane Rutzky of Calif.; companion, Sylvia Iwrey; and sister and brother-in-law, Roslyn and Leonard Kolins. Dr. Rutzky was the beloved husband of the late Jacqueline Rutzky and the dear brother of the late Martin Rutzky. Contributions may be made to a charity of one's choice. JENNIE SHIFFMAN, 94, former Detroiter of Highland Park, N.J., died Feb. 20, 2005. Born in Poland, Mrs. Shiffman came to Detroit in 1946 and was active in the Labor Zionist movement, with Pioneer Women and Farband, and was a volunteer with the Jewish Federation of Metropolitan Detroit. She was a seamstress. She is survived by a son, Norman of Highland Park, N.J.; a daughter, Helen Ruth Hartal of Israel; four grandchildren and two great-grand- children.
