THE ROSBERGS City: West Bloomfield Kudos: Volunteers It's never too early to teach children the importance of helping others, and Emily and Jacob Rosberg have been learning this valuable lesson at their mother's side virtually since they were born. For several years, Linda and Aaron Rosberg of West Bloomfield have helped run a social group for people with devel- opmental disabilities at the Jewish Community Center in West Bloomfield. Linda, already an active volunteer, recruited Aaron when the two started dating almost 10 years ago. Now, eight years of marriage and two children later, the group is still going strong, and Emily and Jacob, now 7 and 5, have become an integral part of the package. In addition to the social group, which meets every other Thursday night, Linda, who works as a rehabilitation consultant, and Aaron, who owns Optic Services in Bloomfield Hills, make time for a variety of other activities. What are some of the other projects you and your children have done? Linda: We visit the senior citizens at the Fleischman Residence in West Rloomfield, and we recently worked on a mitzvah project, making pillows for underprivileged people at Shaarey Zedek, where we belong. We have lake access, and every year we invite the members of our JCC group and the seniors from Fleischman to be our guests at the beach, which everyone really enjoys.
