JACOB KELLMAN, 92, of

Bloomfield Hills, died Jan. 31, 2005.
He was a real estate developer and
owner of Kenyon
Investment
Company.
Mr. Kellman was
a 1933 University
of Michigan grad-
uate with a mas-
ter's degree in his-
tory. He was very
active with the
Kellman
Detroit Symphony
Orchestra and the
Detroit Chamber of Music Society,
was a board member of the Adult
Psychiatric Clinic and board member
of Kingswood Hospital.
In addition, he was a former board
member of United Hebrew Schools,
board member of the Jewish Parents
Institute and a board member of the
Great Lakes Club. He was instru-
mental in the preservation of
Orchestra Hall, was an avid U-M
supporter and an enthusiastic racon-
teur.
Mr. Kellman is survived by his
wife, Rachel Kellman; sons and
daughters-in-law, Joel D. Kellman
and Betsy Stromer of Huntington
Woods, Alan Kellman and Ursula
Gambert of Oxford; daughter and
son-in-law, Barbara Sue Kellman and
Gerald Billow of Massachusetts;
grandchildren, Jennifer Kellman Fritz
and Ron Fritz, Jonathan Aaron and
Jami Kellman, Olivia Catherine
Kellman Billow; great-grandson,
Adler Max-well Fritz.
He was the dear brother of the late
Samuel Kellman and the late Taissa
Julia.
Interment at Clover Hill Park
