— but at the recent Jeep 2004
Yappy Hour, dozens of pam-
pered pooches certainly had their night!
More than 100 lucky dogs mingled
along with about 160 animal lovers at
the cocktail party fund-raiser for the
Michigan Humane Society.
The Dec. 7 event, held at the Omni
Detroit Hotel, was complete with gour-
met "yappetizers" for the yuppie puppies
in attendance. "People just loved the
opportunity to show off their pets and
support a good cause at the same time,"
said Tricia Brosnahan, the Michigan
Humane Society's director of events. A
cage full of kittens and a few of the dogs
in the crowd also were up for adoption.
The Detroit party was the final stop
on a 15-city, cross-country tour spon-
