IRWIN KASOFF, 94, of Aventura,

Fla., and Michigan, died Jan. 20,
2005. He was an attorney working
with workers comp and in labor law.
He was very active with the
Democratic
Party and ran
the Democratic
Party in the
1930s. Mr.
Kasoff was the
deputy Wayne
County drain
commissioner.
He is survived
by daughter and

son-in-law,
Elaine and Allen Kovinsky of West
Bloomfield; stepchildren, Joan
Hoffman-Snider and Dr. Ira Snider
and Dr. Stephen and Barbara
Hoffman; grandchildren, Marlynn
and Kenneth Schiff, Beth Rice and
Stanley Blacker, Mark and Susan
Kovinsky, Apple Snider, Julie Snider,
David and Rohina Hoffman and
Daniel Hoffman; great-grandchil-
dren, Alex Schiff, Jamie Rice,
Nathan Rice, Rachel Kovinsky, Jake
Kovinsky, Dillon, Maya and Jackson
Hoffman. He was the beloved hus-
band of the late Marjorie Hoffman
Kasoff and the late Rose L. Kasoff;
devoted brother of the late Sidney
Kasoff and the late Yetta Levine.
