elissa Ellstein and Daniel
Fellman were married recently
at Congregation Shaarey
Zedek. Rabbi Paul Drazen of
Minneapolis, Minn., and Cantor
Chaim Najman officiated.
The bride, daughter of Dr. Carol
and the late Charles Ellstein, earned a
bachelor of science in psychology
from St. Lawrence University in
Canton, N.Y., and a master's degree
in social work at Wayne State
University in Detroit. Her maid of
honor was Line Bruhn Andersson,
the bride's exchange sister from
Denmark.
The groom, son of Beverly and
Richard Fellman of Omaha, Neb.,
earned a bachelor of arts in political science at Colorado College and a master
of Hebrew letters at Hebrew Union College-Jewish Institute of Religion in
Cincinnati. He will be ordained as a Reform rabbi in June. The groom's
brother Jonathan Fellman of Kensington, Calif., served as best man.
After a honeymoon to the Caribbean, the couple reside in Cincinnati.

C Tara Simons, former Detroiter
of Huntington Beach, Calif,
celebrated her 99th birthday
on Jan. 16 at the home of her son
and daughter-in-law, Michael and
Judy Simons. The party was co-host-
ed by daughter Marilyn Simons. Also
in attendance were grandchildren,
Jeff and Marie, Jennifer, Bradley and
Nikki and Benjamin; and great-
grandchildren, Nicole, Brian and
Michelle. Many devoted nephews,
nieces, grandnephews and grand-
nieces came from Michigan, Arizona,
Connecticut, New Mexico and
California.

her 100th birthday on Jan.
2 at a luncheon party at
Congregation Shaarey Zedek given
by her children, Gerald and Rosalyn
Weintraub and Joanne Weintraub.
Joining in the festivities were her
seven grandchildren, 10 great-grand-
children, her physicians and 120 rela-
tives and-friends from across the
country. She was honored to have
Rabbi and Mrs. Irwin Groner and
Cantor and Mrs. Chaim Najman in
attendance.
