he boxes are unpacked and
start to disappear as the Jewish
Family Service staff gets situat-
ed in their new home on Maple near
Drake in West Bloomfield.
The move went smoothly, said Dave
Moss, director of marketing and devel-
opment.
Construction for the 30,000-square-
foot building began in October 2003.
It replaces the original 22,000-square-
foot building in Southfield that
housed the JFS since 1976.
Some $8 million was raised to build
the facility, which is brighter, bigger and
includes private entrances for clients.
The JFS has relocated its branch office
from West Bloomfield to Greenfield and
Lincoln in Oak Park.
