Reception Honors Rabbi
Rabbi Yeruchim Olshin, rosh yeshivah
of Beth Medrash Govoha in
Lakewood, N.J., will be honored at a
reception 7:30 p.m. Sunday, Jan. 23,
at 15041 Burton in Oak Park, hosted
by Mrs. Sol
Nusbaum, Rabbi
and Mrs. Dov
Loketch and Rabbi
and Mrs. Joseph
Nusbaum.
Beth Medrash
Govoha is the
largest kollel of
advanced talmudic
Rabbi Olshin
studies. The local Kollel of Greater
Detroit in Oak Park was founded by
Beth Medrash Govoha.
Dr. Phillip Friedman is the chair-
man of the reception committee;
Rabbi Avrohom Fishman, principal of
Southfield-based Yeshiva Beth
Yehudah, will be master of cere-
monies.
Women Are Empowered
The Adat Shalom Sisterhood will offer
a three-part series on "Empowering
Women Through Financial
Education" 7-9 p.m. Thursday
evenings, Jan. 27, Feb. 10 and March 3.
At the opening session, Kristen
Gross, an attorney with Miller Shea
PC in Southfield, will present a semi-
nar titled "Estate Planning 101."
Gross specializes in estate planning,
probate law, trust administration and
litigation.
The February program on mort-
gages will feature
Shannon Dickstein, a
mortgage consultant with
John Adams Mortgage
Company in Southfield.
Divisha Kapur will
discuss financial planning
at the final seminar.
Kapur is a senior finan-
cial consultant with the
Gross
Hantz Financial Group, Southfield.
