YAD Artseen Party At DIA,

The Young Adult Division of the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit and the Founders Junior
Council of the Detroit Institute of Arts
will host Artseen, a party open to the
public featuring Murano: Glass from
the Olnick Spanu Collection.
The event will be held 7-11 p.m.
Thursday, Jan. 20, at the Detroit
Institute of Arts' Kresge Court.
Brian Satovsky, YAD president, is co-
chairing the event with Nicole
Eisenberg and Melissa Shulman.
The cost of $35 per person in
advance or $40 at the door includes
hors' d'oeuvres, an open bar, music
provided by WAREZ and valet park-

Hillel Lauds MSU's Lazor

Hillel: The Foundation for Jewish
Campus Life recently recognized
Michigan State
University Hillel
Program Director
Jeffrey Lazor as a
2004 Richard M.
Joel Exemplar of
Excellence.
He was honored
along with seven
Lazor
other winners at
Hillel's International
Professional Staff Conference in
Stamford, Conn., in December.
Lazor began his involvement in Hillel
with a Birthright Israel trip as an MSU
student in 1999. Upon his return to
campus, he became involved in Hillel
programming. He became program
director upon graduation in 2003.
Lazor is a graduate of Harrison High
School in Farmington Hills and
earned a B.A. in advertising at MSU.
