Documenting the massive aliyah of
Ethiopian Jews and their extraordinary
transformation in Israel, Ricki Rosen
will present a photographic journey at
the Jewish Federation of
Metropolitan Detroit's
Food for Thought pro-
gram, 7 p.m. Tuesday,
Jan. 25, at the home of
Florine Mark in
Farmington Hills

The program is host-
ed by the Federation

Women's Campaign and Education
Department with the support of cor-
porate sponsor, the Sigmund and
Sophie Rohlik Foundation. The cost of
the evening is $18 per person, which
includes a dessert reception.

Co-chairs of the event are Sheri T.
Schiff and Heidi Fischgrund; and asso-

Rosen has worked as a photojour-
nalist for more than 20 years, begin-
ning in New York and for the last 16
years in Israel. Her work has been fea-
tured in books, exhibitions and in
numerous international publications.

Forum Explores Riverfront

GM executive Matthew P. McCullen
will discuss "Transforming the Detroit
Riverfront From Vision to Reality" at
the Federation Forum noon to 1:30
p.m.Wednesday, Jan. 26, at the
Townsend Hotel in Birmingham.
McCullen was named
general manager of the
Economic Development
and Enterprise Services at
General Motors Corpor-
ation in 2002. He was
responsible for the 1996
acquisition of the 5.5 mil-

lion-square-foot
Renaissance Center, which replaced the
historic GM building as the corporation's
GM global headquarters in Detroit.
The Federation Forum is sponsored
by the Campaign and Community
Development Department of the
Jewish Federation of Metropolitan
Detroit with corporate partner
General Motors and Compuware
Corporation. Program chair is Lois
Shaevsky.
The dairy luncheon is $30; a strict-
